It's Pumpkin Patch Season!

Pumpkins, and mazes, and playland – oh, my! Just minutes from downtown Luray, the Valley Star Farm Pumpkin Patch offers family fun Friday through Sunday, through October 30th. Crisp fall weather and beautiful foliage surround the farm, which features everything you need to decorate for the season! Choose from a large selection of pumpkins in every shape, size and color, gourds, mums, corn shocks, decorative corn, and straw bales.
While you’re there, no visit to the pumpkin patch is complete without taking an adventurous stroll through the Corn Maze, where kids and adults alike have to identify different farm animals in order to solve the puzzle of the maze.
The farm and Playland also feature a hay tunnel, picnic area, duck race, sand box, bean bag toss, and brain teasers which are sure to stump even the smartest “smarty-pants” in your family! So make time for fall fun, and we’ll see you at Valley Star Farm Pumpkin Patch!

Many people suppose that Jack Frost is responsible for the color change, but he is not. Some of the leaves begin to turn before we have any frosts. We now know that change in coloring is the result of chemical processes which take place in the tree as the season changes from summer to winter.
